Carlo C. Rosolen, 95, of Kinnelon, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on May 17, 2026, with his loving family by his side.
Carlo was born on October 13, 1930, in Stanford, CT. His family eventually settled in northern NJ. He began his first job at 9 years old and continued working in his career as a union carpenter for over 70 years. He was a master of his trade and mentor to countless young men, especially his three sons. He enjoyed watching Western movies, gardening and fixing anything that needed it, always there to lend a hand to his family, friends, and neighbors. Carlo was a true believer in the power of positive thinking.
He had a hearty appetite and cherished Sunday family dinners and hosting annual summer barbecues in his beautiful yard. He was an amazing cook and everyone will fondly remember his legendary eggplant parmigiana.
Carlo is survived by his devoted wife of 75 years, Arlene, their three sons, Dennis and his wife, Karen, Wayne and his wife, Laura, and youngest son Bryan, their five grandchildren Lauren, Faith, Mark, Melissa and Kristin, and nine great-grandchildren, Stephen, Finn, Shea, Troy, Will, Soren, Carly, Kyle, and Jemma. He was predeceased by his beloved brother Ernie.
A service to celebrate the wonderful life of Carlo C. Rosolen will be held on July 19, 2026, at First Lutheran Church, 1337 Van Houten Avenue in Clifton, NJ. Visitation with the family will begin at 12pm in the narthex followed by a memorial service at 1pm.
