Carol Einbeck Blesse

January 25, 1930 — August 2, 2025

Carol Blesse (nee Einbeck), 95, died peacefully at her home on August 2, 2025. She was born in Weehawken, N.J. and grew up in West New York. She lived in Rumson for 45 years before moving to Little Silver and Red Bank, N.J.

She was a 1951 graduate of New Jersey College for Women (later Douglass College) of Rutgers University. She began her career as a Cereal Chemist, and after taking time to be a full-time mother for her sons, became a teacher and taught Home Economics at Long Branch High School for 22 years.

She was an active member of St. George’s Church for 63 years, serving on Vestry and Altar Guild, teaching church school, singing in the choir, and playing the church’s carillon. She enjoyed gardening, reading, music, watching baseball, spending time at the beach and with her feline companion, Princess.

She was married for 63 years to her husband, Donald, who died in 2015. She is survived by her sister, Jean Vogrin of Medford, NJ.; sons Don (Mary) of Lakewood, OH, Ken (Mary) of Turin, NY, and Paul (Susan) of Johns Creek, GA; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A celebration of her life and interment of her ashes will be held Saturday, September 20, 1:00pm at St. George’s By-The-River Church, 7 Lincoln Ave., Rumson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Outreach Fund of St. George’s Church https://www.stgeorgesrumson.org/ or the Monmouth County SPCA https://monmouthcountyspca.org/.
