Celebrating a Life Well Lived
Fatima Lainez of Haceksack, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, February 22, at the age of 75. She was born to Pedro Octavio Lainez and Angela Torres Jimenez and was the third of five children. Her siblings include Norma Salazar, Leonor Lainez, Jose Lainez, and Gioconda Lainez.
Throughout her life, Fatima was deeply rooted in her faith and was devoted lifelong parishioner of St. Anthony's of Padua Episcopal Church in Hackensack, New Jersey.
Fatima was known for her vibrant spirit and unforgettable presence. She expressed herself boldly through her personal style, often dressing in bright color and striking patterns that reflected her lively personality. Her energy filled every room she entered, and her warmth, laughter, and confidence left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She lived authentically, embracing life with passion, strength and individuality.
Despite life's challenges, she remained resilient and always found reason to laugh, inspiring her grandchildren with courage and the belief that humor is valuable gift, especially in difficult times.
She was preceded in death by her younger siblings Gioconda Lainez and Jose Lainez. Fatima will be deeply missed by her devoted family, who were present by her side during her final hours. She is survived by her children: Francisco, Kathy, Marcos and Jose. She is also lovigly remembered by her grandchildren-Nathalie, Gabriel, Catalina, Brandon, Matthew, Evangelina, and Francisco Jr. and her great granddaughter, Mia Castro. Her grandchildren were the light of her eyes and the reason she got up every morning. In her final moments, Fatima reiterated the depth of her love for her grandchildren from the bottom of her heart.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Episcopal Church on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 12:00 noon. A repast meal will follow immediately after the service at St. Anthony's Parish Hall.

Fátima Lainez, de Hackensack, Nueva Jersey, falleciò el domingo 22 de febrero a la edad de 75 ańos. Nació de Pedro Octavio Lainez y Àngela Torres Jiménez y fue la tercera de cinco hijos. Sus hermanos incluyen Norma Salazar, Leonor Lainez, José Lainez y Gioconda Lainez.
A lo largo de su vida, Fátima estuvo profundamente arraigada en su fe y fue una feligresa devota de toda la vida de la iglesia Episcopal St. Anthony of Padua en Hackensack, Nueva Jersey. Fue conocida por ser una verdadera buena samaritana, siempre dispuesta a ayudar a todos quienes la rodeaban.

Fátima será profundamente extrańada por su devota familia, quienes estuvieron a su lado durante sus últimas horas. Le sobreviven sus hijos: Francisco, Kathy, Marcos y José. La Misa Fúnebre se llevará a cabo en la iglesia Episcopal St. Anthony de Padua el sábado 7 de marzo de 2026 a las 12:00 del mediodia. Una comida de confraternidad se ofrecerá inmediatamente después del servicio en la Salón Parroquial de St. Anthony.
