Jane Serafin

Jane Serafin passed away at home in Moonachie, NJ on September 9, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jane was a free spirit who loved animals, cooking, and spending long weekends in the Poconos with her husband and friends. She was devoted to everyone in her family and adored being Nonni to her two grandchildren. There was always lots of laughter and smiles whenever she would play with them and her beloved dog Bessie.

She was born on August 29, 1951 to the late James and Mary (Faro) Passarella in Guttenberg, NJ. She grew up in Moonachie, NJ and lived most of her life there. She graduated from Wood-Ridge High School in 1969 and was a dispatcher at Diamond Chemical in East Rutherford, NJ. She later worked at Paris Gourmet in Carlstadt, NJ as a Sales Rep where she got to work each day with the foods she loved to cook and eat. Jane was passionate about helping animals and was a strong supporter of Rescue Ridge where she adopted Bessie.

Jane is survived by her husband John Serafin; son John Greco (Karen) & grandchildren (Kaitlyn & Christopher); brothers Anthony and James Passarella; sister Patricia Jordan; mother-in-law Nancy Serafin; sisters-in-law Nanette Cangialosi and Donna Serafin-Russo (Steve); brother-in-law Paul Serafin (Lisa), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be held at Cremation Society of New Jersey - 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton, on Monday, September 14th, 2020 from 4PM to 5PM. Memorial contributions may be made in Jane's honor to Rescue Ridge, PO Box 223, Spring Lake, NJ 07762 or online at www.rescueridge.com
