Jenoe Gazdag, 83, of Clifton, New Jersey and resident of Glendale, New York for over 40 years, passed away quietly on February 7th, 2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital following a long illness. Born in Bakonypoloske, Hungary to Josef and Cecilia Hidi Gazdag, he spent his early years in Papa, Hungary prior to emigrating to the United States at the height of the Hungarian Revolution. After serving honorably in the U.S. Army, he began working in industrial design, culminating in a thirty-year career at Kliegl Brothers Universal Stage Lighting Company. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching hockey, reading history books and working on home improvement projects. He performed these activities, he often said, "like it was going out of style," and that was how he lived his life. In addition to his devoted wife of 56 years, Gabriella, Jenoe is survived by his loving daughter Linda, son-in law Russell Borrelli and grandchildren Connor and Johanna Borrelli; loving son Tom, daughter-in-law Jane and grandson Seamus; sister-in-law Maria Unger and nephew Robert Unger; brother Josef, his wife Marika and their daughters Cecilia, Maria, Katalin and Viktoria; brother Imre and his sons Norbert and Roland, and a host of cousins.
