Lucy Shadoian

It is with great sadness that our family announces the death of Lucy Shadoian. Lucy was born on June 23,1924 in Alleppo, Syria to Naum and Fahima Shamas. She was raised in West New York, where she became a seamstress, and married Harry Shadoian on Dec 14,1947 - they were married for 46 years until Harry's passing in 1993.

Lucy had 3 children, Robert, Corinne and Gladys and 3 grandchildren, Shane, Kyle and Kierra, all of whom she loved dearly. Lucy’s love for life was evident as she loved to joke around, cook and entertain with family and friends. She always made sure others were taken care of before herself.
From New Jersey to Florida and back to New Jersey, Lucy’s love for gardening, dancing, music, sports, and playing games went with her everywhere she lived.
Lucy was also a long-time parishioner of the Assyrian Orthodox Church in Paramus, NJ.

A memorial service and celebration luncheon will be held on Saturday, February 18th, 2017 at 11 am in the fellowship hall of the Assyrian Orthodox Church, 644 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652.
