Born in San Miguel, El Salvador, Rodrigo Salomon Zelaya lived a life filled with love, creativity, and childlike faith. He later made his home in New York, where he built a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Maria De Los Angeles Hidalgo. Together they raised two children, Jaime and Tanya Zelaya, who were the pride and joy of his life.

Rodrigo worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was admired for his skill, dedication, and gentle spirit. Outside of work, he was an artist at heart, known for his creativity, craftsmanship, and love of dancing. His humor, laughter and energy could brighten any room.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Maria, his loving daughter Tanya, his son Jaime, and daughter-in-law Bevsi, as well as four cherished grandchildren: Josiah, Leah, Nehemiah, and Audrey. Rodrigo also leaves behind three adored “fur babies”: Charlie, Gandalf, and Bella, who brought him joy and companionship.

Rodrigo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, Rodrigo will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. In his latter days, his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ was the foundation of his life and the source of his peace.

Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Forever loved. Eternally remembered.
