It is with much sadness that the family of Susan L. Holford announces her passing on Saturday, April 25, 2026. She died peacefully in her sleep under hospice care. Susan was a well-known, award-winning artist in Morris County, NJ. She graduated from Hanover Park Regional HS in 1960. After three years of college, first at Elizabeth College, PA, and then at Parsons College, Iowa, she enrolled in the Art Students League in New York City. There, she studied painting under Vaclav Vytlacil, Howard Trafton and Morris Kantor. Following her schooling, she held a variety of jobs, including as a special-ed aide in Madison Public Schools. She also worked with Easter Seal children, and later at the Montessori School in Morristown, NJ, teaching arts to children. Following her teaching career, she was a self-employed artist working most recently with Karen Carbonello of Creative Heartwork, Morristown, NJ, a therapeutic arts organization. There she was a Healing Artist, co-facilitating art workshops for children who experienced trauma, loss, illness and disabilities. She was also a Healing Artist at the Cancer Center at University Medical Center in Newark, NJ, working with adult patients receiving infusions. In addition to her visual arts, Susan performed on stage for several local theater companies. She held leading roles in such diverse productions as Sweet Charity, Cactus Flower and Picnic for the Florham Park Players; Any Wednesday for the Graig Theater in Summit; and numerous productions for Neil's New Yorker in Mountain Lakes. 

Susan was born on August 11, 1942, to Ronald and Doris (Ade) Faber of Florham Park, NJ. She leaves behind her husband, Richard Holford; her siblings Ellen Naff and her daughter Shauna Bokland, Barbara Faber and her partner Ray Hylenski, and Ronald Faber and his wife Kathleen, and their sons Derek, Trevor and Jamison; her two sons, Scott Eveland and his wife Melissa, and Rhett Eveland and his wife Noelle, and their children Samantha, Sarah, Justin Eveland, and Alexandra Del Moro and her husband Niko, and Ava Eveland; her sisters-in-law Barbara Dalrymple, Susan Donovan, Ruth Loper and Winnie Cunningham; her two step-sons, Mitchell Morrell and his son
